Richard P. Breger
President




Richard is the founder and owner of Empire Title Services. A native Floridian, Richard attended the University of Miami and Boston University before graduating from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He continued his education at the University of Florida and graduated from its law school in 1981 with honors and as a member of the prestigious Law Review. To further his education, Richard returned to law school at the University of Miami and earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) Degree in Estate Planning in 1995.

Richard's involvement in the community includes service as President of the North Dade Bar Association and President of The Forum of North Dade.

Richard practices law and specializes in real estate transactions, general civil litigation, estate planning and probate. Richard's extensive legal experience, which helps him prevent and resolve difficult legal issues, provides a great benefit to the customers of Empire Title Services.

Cynthia Cohen
Vice President

Born in Venezuela, Cynthia moved to Miami in 1994 to begin her studies in Hospitality Management at Florida International University. Working with her family part-time from the age of 17, Cynthia was left to fully manage the family export business by the age of 21. She changed her major to International Business to better suit the needs of the company. After earning her Bachelor's degree, she broadened her career scope and joined Empire Title Services in 2003.

Cynthia expanded her general business education and took classes to examine title, and to become a mortgage broker and real estate agent. Enhancing her knowledge, she fully understands the needs of each individual and agent involved in a real estate transaction.

Now head of marketing, Cynthia's hospitable and outgoing personality has earned the loyalty of many clients and has created a warm atmosphere for all those who belong to the Empire Title Services family.

Krista Teibel
Closing Coordinator

Krista Teibel joined Empire Title in 2004 after working in the legal field. A native of Indiana and graduate of Culver Academies in Culver, Indiana, Krista went on to study at American University in Washington, D.C., where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies, with a concentration in Peace and Conflict Resolution and a focus on the Americas.

Krista examines title, processes files, conducts closings and assists Richard in various tasks in his legal practice. In the summer of 2005, Krista completed the curriculum required to become a licensed title agent.

Elizabeth Mejillones
Post-Closer

Elizabeth started working for Empire Title Services in July, 2003. Liz has a background in accounting and bookkeeping, which led to her current position in Empire Title's Post-Closing Department. Liz provides lenders with all necessary documents, disburses funds, prepares deeds and mortgages for recording on the public records and prepares title insurance policies.

She worked previously as a customer service representative in the bridal industry. That experience gave her the skills -- personalized attention to detail and quick responses to customers' concerns -- that contribute to Empire Title's reputation for prompt, courteous and effective service.

Maricel Cruz
Processor

Maricel Cruz is the newest member of Empire Title Services and is refining her skills of processing and closing real estate transactions. Maricel's most recent areas of experience are managing the timeshare association and the Human Resources department for a popular hotel in South Beach.

Previously, she processed medical claims for The New York City Police Department while working for the Patrolmen's Benevolent Association. Outside of real estate law, Maricel devotes herself to her family and lends her time to the Cub Scouts of America as a Den Leader.
